Monday 4/5/2021 A national standard for infrared thermometers was developed
At the 450th session of the national committee for metrology, weights and measures, by the competent authorities and experts, the national standard "Infrared Thermometers for Alternating Patient Temperature - Characteristics" was approved. The purpose of this standard is to assess the internal temperature of the human body by measuring the heat emission from the ear canal. This standard also provides performance requirements for non-contact measurement of skin temperature. This standard applies to electronic devices used to measure and intermittently monitor a patient's temperature by detecting the intensity of heat radiation between the person and the sensor. The standard "Infrared thermometers for alternating patient temperature - Characteristics” for the use of users and experts will be located on the information base of the National Standard Organization of Iran at www.isiri.gov.ir
