The pewsident of Turkish Standard organization, who hosted a delegation from ISIRI, called for the development of bilateral cooperation and the restoration of standard technical infrastructure. Adam Shahin, in a meeting with the president of Iranian National Standards Organization and the accompanying delegation, referring to the history of cooperation between Iran and Turkey in the Institute of Standardization and the standard and metrology institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), said: "This cooperation, especially in the halal sector, can be useful". Referring to 81 provinces of Turkey, he said: "Many investments have been made to create quality in Turkey, so that standard offices have been established in 75 provinces of this country”. Referring to the memorandum signed with Iran in 2016, the head of Turkish Standards added: "It is necessary to update the provisions of this memorandum". Shahin considered the issuance of standard certification very important and said: "Production of healthy materials, healthy tourists and healthy services were among the items that were considered during the Corona period and about 7,000 certificates were issued in this field." He called for the formation of technical committees to exchange bilateral experiences, citing Turkey's standard scientific research into the safety of basic building equipment, fire, renewable energy and hazardous transportation. Then the president of Iranian National Standards Organization, the exchange of experiences as one of the most important goals of this trip and emphasized the formation of joint technical committees. During the meeting, Shariati announced the conclusion of a standard memorandum between the two countries in the near future. The head of the National Standard Organization of Iran also considered the development of relations between the countries of the region in the form of risk and considered the expansion of cooperation between the countries of the region necessary. Following this visit, the president of Iranian National Standards Organization and the accompanying delegation visited the Turkish Metrology Center and its affiliated institutions.
