Monday 10/12/2020 Metrology centers shared their activities in the covid-19
Many organizations around the world are adapting to the global health crisis. In this regard, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) are actively seeking new solutions to carry out its activities in this situation. In a letter to all metrology centers around the world, Martin Milton, President of BIPM, announced a report on the activities of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Corona: “during the early period of confinement in France, our staff has been tele-working to sustain key working without interpretation. Since the 10th July we have retained to 100% operational efficiency in our work whilst incorporation health protection measures recommended in France.  At the request of the Chairman of the International Committee of Weights and Measures (CIPM), a link was launched on the BIPM portal to announce the activities of metrology centers in the fight against Covid-19 virus, so that CIPM Advisory Committees can be formed through online meetings. More than 700 participants attended the meetings since the start of this pandemic.  During this period, several online events, including the CCQM webinar on "Ensuring the reliability of measurements in response to the Covid-19 pandemic" with more than 200 participants and empowerment webinars involving more than 300 staff members of BIPM metrology centers participated in it
