The fourth workshop of New SI was held in Zanjan Province in order to promote the redefinition of New SI with the collaboration of Zanjan Standards Office and University of Zanjan on the 2nd January 2019.
In this workshop, Khosro Madanipour, NMCI President, introduced NMCI and described its activities, then outlined the history of the SI system and its developments from the beginning up to now.
He said that according to the 26th CGPM meeting, the International System of SI is redefined, and this is the largest scientific revolution in metrology in the view of metrologists sight.
Madanipour announced the implementation of the new International System of SI Units will be from May 20, 2019, which coincides with the World Metrology Day.
In the end, Dr. Karimi, Head of Education & Graduate Studies of Zanjan University, spoke about mutual scientific and technical cooperation and holding meetings with the representative of Zanjan Standards Office and Education & Graduate Studies of Zanjan University to sign a MoU.
