The president of National Metrology Center of Iran (NMCI), Dr. Khosrow Madanipour, gave a speech at the Annual Physics Conference of Iran, held in Imam Khomeini International University (IKIU), Qazvin, as an Invited speaker to promote the new international system of units, New SI. He gave a history of international system of units and its evolution from the beginning up until now and also mentioned the role of Institute of Standardization and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) and National Metrology Center of Iran (NMCI) to connect Islamic Republic of Iran to international measurement system. Then he continued by explaining the important changes which are going to be made by Conférence Générale des Poids et Mesures (CGPM) in November 2018.
