The First New SI workshop was held in Faculty of Physics of Imam Khomeini International University in order to promote the redefinition of the New SI in the country. National Metrology Center of Iran (NMCI) has planned to hold 7 workshops with the collaboration of Faculty of physics and Standard Offices in 32 provinces of Iran. The first one was held in Qazvin Province at the faculty of the basic science of Imam Khomeini International University on 15th December 2018.
This workshop was held in order to follow the Resolution on the revision of the International System of Units (SI) 26th General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM 2018).
The first Weights and Measures Law in Iran was adopted in 1925 by the parliament and the SI system was announced as the official measuring system in the country.
